Neil Degrasse Tyson was discussing multidimensionality and Monsters Inc., and he said that the doors in Monsters Inc. were an access point where they could cross the fourth dimension from one three dimensional world into another.  Each was a connected double ended doorway where you can step through the tesseract between the two worlds, monster and human.   The tesseract is one explanation for the fourth dimension; as a cube is made by putting together six square surfaces, it is postulated that the fourth dimension is a place that exists between eight cubes or three dimension plains.  
If you take our three dimensional universe and stick it together with seven more to build an eight sided cube of sorts, then you have a tesseract.  One thought It makes me consider, is it that we live in a three dimensional reality and our brain can be trained to access the fourth dimension of soul, and from there we can have access to the other three dimensional realities which we currently call dreams.  This would make soul space that spot between eight universes that we each have access to as a soul being.  If all the souls of existence are linked, or groups of souls are linked so they can interact in these eight universes, then things work out so we may find similar people in each different universe.  
I have been trying to explain the idea of a soul with strings stretching out of itself into multiple universes; ours and those places we call dream states, and at the end of each string is a body through which we experience a reality.  Now considering the description of the fourth dimension as an area between and linking eight universes, I will continue down my path of thought.  
The idea is that if we can open our human consciousness to that fourth dimensional being, the soul which we already are, then we can exponentially grow our ability to bring better living experiences into this reality we are currently living in.  Because we would be able to bring all the knowledge from the other brains we are connected to in the other universes into our current human brain.  With that, we could also work at making sure that each of our bodies in the other universes is also able to do the same.  We could then step between the brains of each, similar to the doors of Monsters Inc. that connect the two worlds together.  The difference is that we are already living in that other three dimensional world so we are only expanding our awareness and potential for creativity.  Is your brain a door to your tesseract, and can you access the knowledge of seven other selves?  Keep trying.

If we are living in a simulation, and nothing matters, then where does anger come from and why does it exist in us? Why can we be so easily frustrated with all this, which doesn't mean anything? How is it that nothing can create such an energy within us? Maybe we need to look at this differently.  There are layers of existence, we are living as forms that feel and experience on such a real level that we call this layer reality. Crossed lines

 The waves of consciousness are flowing in and around us, each individual human is a movement of energy in the pool of streaming existence. We connect to various other energies that have been separated out from the source to play out lifespans in the layers of creation. Working through existing as we attempt to know what being here actually is.
